How can we help reducing the cost of grocery shopping?
The solution to the problem is to develop an app, in which its main functionality is the creation of a supermarket shopping list.
The particularity of this app, which differentiates it from what already exists in the market, is that the user can visualize the prices in different supermarkets and thus make lists by supermarket.
Who are the people who need the solution?
All the people who do supermarket shopping.
Who are the people who will use the solution?
All the people who would like to save money on their supermarket shopping.
What are the limitations of these people?
Users without smartphones or not having technological literacy.
What are the adjacent problems to the main problem?
Analysing the questionnaire done to 30 people, the adjacent problems presented are: the waiting and delivery queues, oversupply could create frustration in the user, price/litre information of the products, the information architecture.
To help improve the product, Guerilla testing was performed with 5 people, improvements were identified, and have since been implemented:
Highlight the + and - add product to list button
Insert description in the tab bar icons
Put close button in the menus
Enlarge product list text
Insert shopping total price
Fix down the position of some buttons in the app
The application will enable users to shop and compare supermarket prices and focuses on simplicity, efficiency and an intuitive user interface.
It provides an intuitive product search functionality experience and a clear and concise presentation of results. The project lasted for about 22 hours.
